I tore this picture from the New York Times in late August or early September 2005. It's of alligators swimming in the Hurricane Katrina floodwaters near New Orleans. I feel like I remember the article it accompanied saying this scene took place very near a major street, but that's not indicated by the caption. I'm utterly terrified of alligators.

That's funny that you bring that up now, because just this past weekend, Matt, Angela and I were discussing alligators in Florida, and how fucking terrifying they are. They're practically prehistoric, left over from dinosaurs.

They scare the shit out of me.

Its getting a bit strange how reading the blogs of my friends are regularly reminding me of conversations I've had while drinking. I guess that's what happens when Ryan is around. Once he's gone my presence on the cybertubes will likely decrease by 75%.
